How To Find The Ground

From Reading:

Head towards Newbury on the A4 (past The Winning Hand Pub on the right, Berkshire Fiesta Centre and hotel on the left).

At the small roundabout turn left, signposted Aldermaston and Tadley.  Go over a humpback bridge, the Canal Visitor's Centre (on the left)  and a canal bridge, and the Butt Inn (on the right).

Aldermaston Village is about two miles along this road, which bears sharply to the left after about a mile and a half.

At the mini-roundabout in the village, turn right.  (The Hinds Head pub is right on the corner of the roundabout).

Head out of the village, past the school (on the right).  Past a sharp left hand bend, there is a house on the left hand side of the road. Turn into the driveway which runs past the house to enter Wasing Park.

'Local Rules':

There are three trees close to the boundary edge at Wasing Park, which are all the subject of a local rule which is very popular with bowlers (especially extremely occasional beer match cannon fodder like the web master!).  The rule being, that if the ball hits any part of the tree, four runs are scored, even if the ball would have gone for six if the tree hadn't been in the way.

Disclaimers:

Parking at the ground is entirely at the risk of the owners of the vehicles.

The club takes no responsibility for loss of or damage to items left in the pavilion and changing rooms.

Children are not permitted in the pavilion.

Smoking is not permitted in the pavillion.
